We would like to acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional lands of the Aboriginal people and their many custodians. We pay our respects to both present and past elders and the continuing custodians of these land. May we listen with great care to the heartbeat of Aboriginal lands and to its people who have cared for it so well and for so long.
St Mary’s Parish School Hay is a co-educational systemic school that forms a part of the Wilcannia-Forbes Diocese. We are located in the Riverina region of NSW, seven hours west of Sydney.
Principal's Welcome Message
Welcome to the St Mary’s website!
At St Mary’s, we take great pride in providing a caring and committed approach to your child’s education.
We are a school where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential through our dedicated individualised learning programs.
We promote inclusion for all students and work closely with parents to develop learning goals for student development.
Our qualified staff provide quality and thorough differentiation of the curriculum which is targeted at the specific needs of individual students.
We encourage our students to develop life-long learning skills that will benefit them far beyond their seven years of primary education.
There is a strong sense of community at St Mary’s. We are only a small school and every family is welcomed and included in events at school.
We have a committed School Committee and Fundraising group that secure valuable resources for the school. Parents are always welcomed at weekly assemblies, at open mornings and information sessions and on special occasions such as Catholic Schools Week, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day breakfasts and Senior Citizens Week.
I encourage you to look through our website. We warmly welcome prospective parents to visit our school or contact us for any enquiries. We hope to share with you the ‘difference’ a Catholic education at St Mary’s can make with your son or daughter.
