We would like to acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional lands of the Aboriginal people and their many custodians. We pay our respects to both present and past elders and the continuing custodians of this land. May we listen with great care to the heartbeat of Aboriginal lands and to its people who have cared for it so well and for so long.
St Joseph’s Parish School was established by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1895.
St Joseph’s is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 6 school in the Wilcannia-Forbes Diocese of NSW.
St Joseph’s is a school that integrates Gospel values into all aspects of school and community life, catering for the needs of each individual. The enrolment in 2020 is 23 students.
Our Patron is Saint Joseph, who guides us to be caring and compassionate. Our school motto is “In Mary We Trust”. Our school strives to be a community that is inspired by the example of Mary to live by Christian values. Liturgical celebrations including Sacraments, while being school-based, also involve the parish community. St Joseph’s is supported by the St James Parish and community of Peak Hill.
All students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and compete in Cluster, Diocesan, Inter-diocesan and State Carnivals. It is the aim of St Joseph’s to give every pupil the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our students are encouraged to live out our vision statement; to be active members of the Peak Hill community.
