 Strategic Plan
With the ordination and installation of Bishop Columba Macbeth-Green, the Wilcannia-Forbes Diocese confidently set about establishing new directions for Catholic Education and engaged in strategic planning that will enable us to fulfil our hopes and aspirations for the system of parish schools.
The Director of Catholic Education is committed to working collaboratively with all members of the Wilcannia-Forbes Diocesan community.
In 2014 Â a consultation paper was prepared, outlining the key messages received from Listening Assemblies held with students, staff, parents and parishes across the Wilcannia-Forbes Diocese, as well as Red Bend Catholic College and staff of the Catholic Education Office (CEO).
The Paper outlines our views on:
- the strengths of our system of schools and the challenges before them;
- their great hopes and vision for the future of our schools; and
- the key strategies they would like to see actioned for their hopes and aspirations to be realised.
In consideration of these messages, and after examination of relevant literature and current research, a strategic plan ‘Christo et Doctrinae’ was developed, which proposes recommendations on what our system should look like and the strategic directions required to achieve our goals.
This is intended to be the basis of a 5-year strategic plan for our system of schools.
